Journals published by the Faculty of Science
The first issue of the Geographical Review was edited and published in 1957 by members of the editorial board, which, in addition to Husein Brkić, consisted of other professors from the Department of Geography at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo: Miljenko Filipović, Milan Jokanović, and Dr. Tvrtko Kanaet.
In the period from its establishment to 1992, the Geographical Society of Bosnia and Herzegovina published a total of 35 issues of the Geographical Survey independently or in co-publishing with the Department of Geography of the Faculty of Science, Sarajevo.
Teachers and associates of the Department of Geography prepare and edit the journal “Journal of Tourism and Hospitality Management”, published by the Faculty of Science and Mathematics in Sarajevo. The journal publishes internationally peer-reviewed scientific papers, some of which are presented at the International Tourism and Hospitality Management Congress or are sent directly for publication starting in 2015. The journal of chemists and technologists of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been published since 1952 until today. It is published once a year, in the Bosnian language, and is published by the Faculty in cooperation with the Society of Chemists and Technologists of Bosnia and Herzegovina until 1990, when the Society ceased to exist.
In 1998, the Association of Chemists and Technologists of Sarajevo Canton was founded, which together with the Faculty continues to issue the English-language Bulletin (Bulletin of the Chemists and Technologists of Bosnia and Herzegovina) since 2012. Since 2012 published semi-annually. The gazette is indexed in databases in Web of Science (Emerging Sources Citation Index), CAS, and EBSCO.
