Students
The mobility of outgoing students implies the stay of students at the host institution, after which they return to PMF. This mobility includes a study stay or a study/professional internship as part of the first, second, and/or third cycle, as well as an integrated study and a postdoctoral study/residence at the host institution.
Registration and conditions for student participation:
- The status of an enrolled student (defined by the UNSA Statute) of the first cycle and integrated study and has at least 30 ECTS credits completed, that is, he has the status of an enrolled student of the second or third cycle or integrated study;
- BiH citizenship or a person with refugee status, i.e. a stateless person or a person with foreign citizenship, residing in BiH, if this is determined by the mobility program;
- Fulfillment of other conditions determined by the institutional agreement within which mobility is realized;
- Valid documentation prescribed by the competition and institutional agreement submitted in a timely manner.
During the mobility, the outgoing student maintains the existing status at UNSA.
Within the selected program, the student at the host institution in one semester must acquire the minimum number of ECTS credits prescribed by the mobility program, corresponding to the mobility period.
After the end of the mobility, and no later than the end of the sitting semester, the student is obliged to submit a transcript of grades from the host institution and other documents determined by the competition or institutional agreement to the International Cooperation Service of UNSA and the responsible vice dean.
Please download the Outbound Mobility Form.
You need to fill out the form and submit it to the responsible teachers in your department. The teacher is obliged to assess the degree of compatibility of the course at the outgoing institution with the course at PMF. After verification of all the courses you plan to take at the outgoing institution, you need to submit the completed form with a written request to the secretariat of your department in order for the Department Council to adopt the mobility plan, which is confirmed by the Head of Department's signature. After that, you need to forward the Outgoing Mobility Form together with other documentation to the Vice-Dean for International Cooperation.

The authoritative version of the documents is issued in English, and the version in the languages in official use in BiH is used as an internal information document.
International exchange programs
The UNSA Center for International Cooperation offers international exchange programs with different financial conditions. For example, if you go on an exchange within the CEEPUS, Mevlana or Erasmus+ networks, you will receive a scholarship there.
The UNSA Center for International Cooperation offers international programs. The University of Sarajevo appears as one “body” in this program (regardless of whether a faculty, academy, center, or institute applies). Although many projects are implemented at (sub)organizational units of the University of Sarajevo, when applying for these calls, the application is filled out in front of the University.
Within the framework of the program aimed at building capacities in the field of higher education at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, the following projects are implemented: under different financial conditions. For example, if you go on an exchange within the CEEPUS, Mevlana, or Erasmus+ networks, you will receive a scholarship there.

CEEPUS stands for Central European Exchange Program for University Studies. Current member countries are: Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia. Pristina/Kosovo is also a member. In CEEPUS, there is no transfer of funds: instead, there is an internal currency of “one tuition per month”. Each country pays for its INCOMING students and teachers and must commit to at least 100 monthly tuition fees for one academic year. The CEEPUS Agreement also states that these grants are linked to the local cost of living. So far, experience has shown that this system works very well.
There are two types of mobility: mobility within the CEEPUS network (network mobility) and mobility outside the CEEPUS network (free mobility). The priority is mobility within the network.
Deadline for applications for mobility in the CEEPUS system:
- June 15 (nominations for mobility for Networks) – winter semester
- October 30 (nominations for mobility for Networks) – summer semester
- November 15 (applications for mobility outside networks – free mover) – summer semester
The Mevlana exchange program aims to exchange students and academic staff between higher education institutions in Turkey and higher education institutions in other countries. The law that was published on August 23, 2011 (number: 28034), enabled the exchange of students and academic staff between Turkey and other countries.
What differs from all other exchange programs is that the Mevlana exchange program includes all higher education institutions in the world, regardless of which region.
