Access to scientific databases for employees and students of the University of Sarajevo: basic information and instructions for access
The University of Sarajevo provides access to citation and aggregate databases that allow the community of teachers, researchers, students, and associates of our University access to the latest ongoing production of scientific journals and books (monographic publications), as well as bibliographic and citation databases that enable monitoring of new research (services of current alerts ). Selective information dissemination services are also available where all teachers, associates, and students can have their own research profile and receive automated notifications about their field of interest on a daily or weekly basis. Aggregate full-text databases provide access to complete issues of journals and books.
Access to the following databases is provided:
Web of Science: bibliographic and citation database covering more than 18,500 peer-reviewed journals in its three indexes, Social Sciences Citation Index, Science Citation Index, and Arts and Humanities Citation Index. It enables monitoring of production with the highest impact factors, as well as citation analysis, which is extremely important for teachers and associates when preparing their works for publication in eminent publications, and access to the following WoS Core Collection citation indexes is enabled:
- Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-EXPANDED) –1994-present
- Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) –1994-present
- Arts & Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI) –1994-present
- Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) –2015-present

· Method of access:
- Based on the user's IP address: via the website https://webofknowledge.com. In case the organizational unit does not have a static range of IP addresses, it is necessary to contact the Rectorate of the University of Sarajevo at 033/565-123 or nir@unsa.ba for institutional access to the databases.
- On the basis of the user's IP address: via the website https://webofAccess outside the UNSA IP address system: it is necessary to register the user via the website https://webofknowledge.com, by clicking on “register” or “sighttps://webofknowledge.com /n in” in the upper right corner of the screen. Registration must be done from a computer at the IP address registered for access to WoS. If the organizational unit does not have this possibility, it is necessary to contact the NIR Service at the number 033/565-123, in order to register via computer from Rectorat.knowledge.com. In case the organizational unit does not have a static range of IP addresses, it is necessary to contact the Rectorate of the University of Sarajevo at 033/565-123 or nir@unsa.ba for institutional access to the databases.
SCOPUS: bibliographic and citation database for researching peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals. Scopus has built-in tools that allow researchers to efficiently track, analyze and visualize research easily and at the level of detail of their choice. Scopus offers researchers a fast, simple, and comprehensive resource to support research in the fields of technical, medical, and social sciences, as well as the arts and humanities. Scopus offers
access to over 23,000 journal titles from over 5,000 publishers, over 3,800 open-access journals, and over 33 million records.

- On the basis of the user's IP address: via the website https://www.scopus.com. In case the organizational unit does not have a static range of IP addresses, it is necessary to contact the Rectorate of the University of Sarajevo at 033/565-123 or nir@unsa.ba for institutional access to the databases.
- Access outside the UNSA IP address system: in order to activate “remote access” access, it is necessary to submit the user's e-mail to the NIR Service (nir@unsa.ba), after which the user receives instructions and registration data for creating an individual user account.
Science Direct: one of the leading multidisciplinary databases that enable the search of complete texts and bibliographic information in the fields of natural, technical, and medical sciences. ScienceDirect offers over 15 million publications in over 3,800 journals and serials and over 37,000 books.
Currently contracted subscription period: January 1, 2020 – December 31, 2022.
· Method of access:
- On the basis of the user's IP address: via the website https://www.sciencedirect.com/ In case the organizational unit does not have a static range of IP addresses, for institutional access to the databases it is necessary to contact the Rectorate of the University of Sarajevo at 033/565-123 or nir@unsa .ba.
- Access outside the UNSA IP address system: in order to activate “remote access” access, it is necessary to submit the user's e-mail to the NIR Service (nir@unsa.ba), after which the user receives instructions and registration data for creating an individual user account.

CEEOL Central and Eastern European Online Library: a repository that offers specialized and comprehensive collections of works in full text in the fields of social sciences and humanities, and art, from Central and Eastern Europe. There are over 2,200 titles in the field of social sciences and humanities from 34 countries, and over 600,000 works published in over 30 languages.

- Method of access: through the website https://www.ceeol.com/ based on the user's IP address (access to the database outside the IP UNSA address system is not possible).
HeinOnline: full-text database in the field of law and related sciences. Contains more than
- documents from historical to official publications, and a significant part of the content consists of more than 2,600 serial publications from the area
- Currently contracted subscription period: January 1 – December 31, 2021.
- Method of access: through the website https://home.heinonline.org/ based on the user's IP address. In case the organizational unit does not have a static range of IP addresses, it is necessary to contact the Rectorate of the University of Sarajevo at 033/565-123 or nir@unsa.ba for institutional access to the databases.
