Project “Identification and Spatial Distribution of Air Pollutants in the Sarajevo Valley – Current State and Mitigation Measures”

During 2017, a team of experts from the Department of Geography and the Faculty of Science in Sarajevo developed the project “Identification and Spatial Distribution of Air Pollutants in the Sarajevo Valley – Current Situation and Mitigation Measures”. The main goal of the project is to identify and define the spatial distribution of pollutants in the air in the Sarajevo valley according to climatological seasons and their types. The project defines indicators of horizontal spatial distribution and transport models of air pollutants with a special emphasis on zoning of the most polluted spatial zones. Summary information about the project is available here.
